Happy May The Fourth, Star Wars fans. It’s really been eons since the series started from the grand idea from filmmaker George Lucas back in 1979. With it came a slew of toys, ~~mouthbreathers~~ enthusiastic fans, and video game merchandise up the wazoo. The latter is pretty much our focus.

Yes, we do have a video or two talking about Star Wars games, but the games there feel more like legacy additions than games you can pick up and play right now on your PC and/or consoles. So here’s a more updated and refined games list of what Star Wars games to buy.

To celebrate this occasion, here are the top current games you can play that are Star Wars related, are affordable and less than RM100/US$20 (save for one virtual entry) and are easily available.

Most of the titles here are getting a special 4th May and Star Wars Day discounts, so you better hurry!

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (RM42.50 On Steam)

Platform: PC, Xbox Series, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch
Genre: Action-Adventure Game

Who knew a LEGO game would make it on this list to recommend fun all-ages Star Wars games? In all seriousness, both hardcore gamers and casual players will have a blast with the latest Traveller’s Tale Games’ action-adventure game, now with a ton of voice-acting, comedy bits, and loads of bricks to collect. And even orphans to air juggle with your Lightsaber. Fun for everyone!

Star Wars: Squadrons (RM7.95 on Steam)

Platform: PC, Xbox Series, Xbox One
Genre: Space Flight Sim

If you yearn for the days of X-Wings and TIE Fighters, but don’t want to cloud your eyes with old-school PC graphics, you should play the recent space flight sim entry Star Wars: Squadron. If you love space dogfighting and want a ton of variety when it comes to spaceships from the Star Wars universe, you’ll definitely find a lot to love here.

It’s going for a steal right now, costing way, way less than its RM159 asking price.

We feel that mothers shouldn’t hog all the fun, Dads deserve recognition and appreciation all year round, not just on special occasions. Every day is an opportunity to celebrate the important role they play in our lives.

Here are the 10 best dads in gaming history, so you can pick up cues on how to be great fathers. In case you’re planning to be one, or became one by accident. Also there are some spoilers for old games below, so here’s your warning:

#10: Hades – Hades series

If there’s one kind of father who can make tougher beings out of their offsprings, it’s the ones who offer tough love. None of this is more apparent than in Hades, the lord of the Underworld and Zagreus’ dad in the hit roguelite action series Hades. He rules the Underworld, and makes sure no one gets out, including his own son Zagreus. Of course, if the latter beats his dad in a fair fight after going through the Underworld’s security, he bows out. Over time, dear old dad eventually respects his son.

He also helps out his daughter in the sequel Hades 2, but we won’t say more than that since the game is pretty fresh off the boat this year.

#9: Corvo Attano – Dishonored series

One of the biggest plot revelations in Arkane’s Dishonored games is the main character Corvo: he’s the father of the kidnapped princess Emily Kaldwin. And as you can tell from Dishonored 2, the grown-up Emily takes up after her dad in terms of assassination skills and magic powers. The fact that Emily talks fondly about her dad proves that father knows best, even if the whole world is against him.
