This RM40,000 iPhone 17 Pro comes with a piece of Steve Jobs’ actual turtleneck

Apple is celebrating their 50th anniversary in April, and as part of the celebration you can have your own piece of history thanks to Caviar, a luxury brand that’s known for customised iPhones. Their latest lineup features a ‘Steve Jobs Edition’ iPhone that has an actual piece of Jobs’ original black turtleneck embedded into the Apple logo itself.

Dubbed the 50 Years of Apple collection, Caviar’s new catalog features two classic blacked out iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models built out of carbon fibre and your choice between gold or black titanium inlays. However, it’s centerpiece has to be the Steve Jobs special edition, which has his signature engraved on the back along with a titanium Apple logo. There’s also a fragment of the Apple founder’s iconic black turtleneck encased inside the logo, with a certificate of authenticity to boot.

The design of the iPhone 17 Pro Steve Jobs edition is inspired by the original iPhone 2G, with a silver and black two-tone look. It also gets a special wallpaper by Caviar celebrating the 50th anniversary of Apple, and the device itself will come in custom packaging. Oh, and there’ll only be nine of these iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max Steve Jobs editions made, in honor of the launch date of the original iPhone: 9 January, 2007.

As for pricing, well a piece of history doesn’t come cheap. The base iPhone 17 Pro with 256GB starts at USD9,630 (~RM38,972.61), rising to USD10,340 (~RM41,845.98) for the top model with 1TB of storage. If you want the larger iPhone 17 Pro Max, it starts at USD10,130 (~RM40,996.11), with the top end 2TB model priced at USD11,560 (~RM46,783.32).
