The iPhone 17 Pro Max leaks are here — and it looks a lot like the POCO F6 Pro
We’re about five months away from the iPhone 17 launch, and, as happens every year, a wave of leaks and rumours floods our timeline. Based on multiple reports, Apple’s ever-popular iPhones are set to undergo some major changes, including swapping out the ‘Plus’ variant with a light ‘Air’ model.
Evidently, the Pro and Pro Max models will receive a facelift of sorts with a redesigned camera module. Renders have been swirling around for weeks, but we now have a closer look thanks to X user @MajinBuOfficial, who posted a hands-on video of what is claimed to be the iPhone 17 Pro.
In a 14-second clip, the user showed off the iPhone 17 Pro’s new design in an off-white colourway with a triangular camera layout similar to the current iPhones. However, these cameras are no longer standalone modules, but are now placed on top of a large plate that eats up a large portion of the phone.

There’s plenty to take away from the clip, but one thing we can’t help but notice is how similar it is to the POCO F6 Pro. Not entirely, of course, but the camera plate bears a striking resemblance to POCO’s mid-range F6 Pro model (starting price: RM2,299). Both phones also have rounded edges, but the F6 Pro’s is a little more boxier.
To add substance to @MajinBuOfficial’s claims, prominent tech content creator UnboxTherapy, who currently has 24.8 million YouTube subscribers, also showcased the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models featuring the same design. Much to our relief, it wasn’t just us who spotted the resemblance to the POCO F6 Pro; one commenter even referred to the iPhone 17 Pro Max as the “iPhone 17 Poco Max”.

Design aside, reports suggest the iPhone 17 Pro models will feature an aluminium frame. The Cupertino-based brand is also expected to unveil a new 48MP Tetraprism Telephoto lens, which is said to deliver improved zoom clarity.
The iPhone 17 lineup is rumoured to consist of the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
