The Future of Gaming: IKEA Malaysia x ROG’s Unique Collaboration
With the world evolving deeper into the age of technology the gaming sector has become a key player in the hearts and homes of many. One of the largest home and furniture retail chains, IKEA, have decided to launch their new gaming line in a partnership we never thought we would witness, with ASUS’ gaming division, Republic of Gamers (ROG) – I think we can all agree that this is good news.
The line will be a collaboration of IKEA’s Scandinavian design with ROG’s gaming aesthetics, resulting in a modern-looking collection for avid gamers and non-gamers alike. Here’s what you need to know about IKEA x ROG, including the expectations and availability in Malaysia.
IKEA x ROG Availability
Gamers, brace yourselves as the rollout of IKEA x ROG products are scheduled to make its way to the Malaysian market on 11 November 2021 at the following IKEA outlets:
The partnership between the Swedish furniture powerhouse and ROG, has seen the release of around 30 gaming-oriented products including chairs, desks, neck pillows, ring lights, and more accessories, from 6 lines, namely: UPPSPEL, LÅNESPELARE, MATCHSPEL, GRUPPSPEL, UTESPELARE, and HUVUDSPELARE.
Despite the non-disclosure of what products we can look forward to, the image provided in the announcement consisted of the usual gaming desks and chairs, as well as accessories such as storage, sound buffers, mouse pads and bungees, cables, neck pillows, ring lights, alarms, cocoon and “aggression devices”.
As we all anticipate this line, we can expect affordability and ergonomically designed products that will enhance the gaming experience and performance, as well as complement your gaming setup with the alleviation of as that is the main aim of the partnership. However, we are not sure how both parties are going to achieve the affordability factor since ROG is considered a premium brand but we definitely want to see them try.
