The ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED is Sustainable, Ultrathin, and Weighs Only 1KG
ASUS has launched what’s touted as the ‘world’s slimmest OLED Ultralight laptop’ in the form of the new ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED.
According to ASUS, the new Zenbook addition measures at a super-slim 1cm profile and weighs in at only 1KG, making it the ideal ultraportable solution to those always on-the-go.
The ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED is the most eco-friendly Zenbook ever. It was designed with carbon neutrality in mind and as such, ASUS incorporates the use of recycled materials in various sections of its built. Some of these areas includes the laptop’s keycaps and speakers, which is made of post-consumer-recycled (PCR) plastics.
On top of that, the use of FSC Mix-certified materials means its packaging is 100% recyclable.
Despite the shift towards sustainability, ASUS promises that it will not compromise on performance.
The ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED comes in two variants, each powered by 13th Gen Intel Core processors. You will have the choice of:
- Intel Core i5-1335U, with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, 512GB storage
- Intel Core i7-1355U, with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, 1TB storage
Furthermore, ASUS continues its streak in providing top-class visuals by integrating the ASUS Lumina OLED display. You can expect accurate colours with Pantone Validated colour renderings, as well as true-to-life details with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.
Additionally, the ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED packs a 2.8K resolution (2880×1800) across its 13.3 inch screen. Its displays are also TÜV Rheinland and SGS certified, reducing blue light emissions down to 70% in order to curb eye fatigue even after prolonged usage.
A 1cm ultrathin profile doesn’t hinder port availability on this Zenbook. You will have full functionality with a 2x Thunderbolt 4 USB-C, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, a HDMI 2.1 port, as well as a 3.5mm audio jack. Additionally, it supports WiFi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2.
Other noteworthy features in the ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED is a FHD IR camera with AI-powered visuals and noise-cancellation technology. It’s also integrated with Harman Kardon-certified audio with Dolby Atmos sound.
The ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED will be available in Malaysia by mid-May. It will come in two colours: Basalt Gray, and Ponder Blue. It will be priced as such:
