Tecno Camon 50 Ultra open for pre-order, Dimensity 7400 Ultimate smartphone from RM1,499

Tecno has begun teasing its latest smartphone in Malaysia, the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra. Pre-orders for it are now available exclusively on their TikTok Shop, with prices starting from RM1,499. Those who order one from now till 12 March will also snag a free Tecno Watch 3 Active worth RM299 and a 1+1 year warranty.

The Tecno Camon 50 Ultra itself features a curved 6.78-inch AMOLED display, pushing a 2644 x 1208p resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, along with a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus 2 over it for scratch resistance. You’ll also find a suit of IP ratings such as IP69K/IP69/IP68 dust and water resistance.

Under the hood, the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate system-on-chip, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. It comes with Android 16 out of the box, skinned with HIOS 16 over it, and Tecno has previously mentioned that it will guarantee at least 3 major Android OS upgrades for the Camon 50 Ultra.

As for its cameras, the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra gets a main 50MP, f/1.8 camera using the Sony LYT-700C IMX896 sensor flanked by a 50MP, f/2.2 telephoto offering a 3x optical zoom along with an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide shooter. You’ll also get a 50MP, f/2.4 front facing camera for your selfies.

Other features of note include a 6,500mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging, stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity.
