Suunto Vertical 2 Now in Malaysia: Larger AMOLED Display, LED Flashlight, and 65-Hour Battery
After its prices were listed on Suunto’s official website ahead of the launch, the Vertical 2 is now officially available for purchase in Malaysia.
The Vertical 2 is Suunto’s latest adventure watch in the Vertical series. The series is widely known for its sturdy, durable design, reinforced with a robust battery life and advanced navigation tools, making it ideal for rugged expeditions.
Regarding navigation, the Vertical 2 comes with multi-band GPS and offers free offline maps available both on the watch and in the Suunto app, featuring contoured lines, paths, and terrain features to provide a comprehensive view of the route ahead.
Moreover, hiking enthusiasts can benefit from Climb Guidance, which provides real-time elevation profiles, color-coded route sections, and advanced notifications of climbs and descents. In addition to climbing, there are also 115 sports modes to choose from, with advanced training analytics and additional data such as weather alerts, altitude readings, and sunrise/sunset times.
One of the standout upgrades of the Vertical 2 is its larger and brighter 1.5″ AMOLED display, which offers a 466×466 resolution. Suunto has also integrated a built-in LED flashlight directly into the bezels, allowing users to adjust the brightness, activate red-light mode for night vision, and use the SOS pulse feature.
The new model also features a redesigned optical heart rate sensor, which Suunto claims provides more accurate wrist-based measurements. This will not only refine precision health tracking but also support training and recovery.
In line with the Vertical series, wearers can expect up to 65 hours of battery life, even with dual-band GPS tracking enabled, and up to 30 days of typical smartwatch use.
The Vertical 2 is available in four stainless steel variants: black, pine green, arctic gray, and canyon, all priced at RM2,999; and two titanium models in black and sage, each priced at RM3,499.
It will be available from November 3rd at all official and authorized Suunto stores, as well as on Suunto’s website and official platforms on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
