Starlink Introduces a Residential Lite Plan We Can Finally Afford

If you’ve always found the Starlink Residential plan too expensive, you might be glad to know the internet provider now has a Residential Lite plan that’s far more affordable. The Residential Lite plan costs just RM129/month, a far friendlier price than the RM220/month for the standard Residential plan.

While Starlink does not impose a data cap or speed cap for the Lite plan, it does have reduced speeds. According to the official website, the Lite plan has typical download speeds ranging from 45 to 130Mbps, while upload speeds range from 10 to 20Mbps.
Another catch is that the Lite plan will be deprioritized during peak hours in order to serve customers with the standard Residential plan. This means that Lite users may experience slower speeds when the network has the most users online.
Starlink assures customers that they may upgrade to the standard Residential service at any time.

If you are new to Starlink, do keep in mind that you will need to purchase the Standard Kit V4 to access Starlink services. The Starlink kit is priced at RM1,600 in Malaysia, and can be purchased at authorized dealers such as Senheng, iTworld, Gloo, Thunder Match, and others.
