Speed Awakens: Realme launches its sporty new GT NEO 3 in Malaysia
The wait for the highly anticipated Realme GT NEO 3 has come to an end after its official launch earlier today. Its unveiling to the Malaysian market was broadcasted on a Facebook Live, where several details regarding its specifications and price were finally confirmed.

Specifications and Design
Processor and GPU
First things first, let’s get to the innerworkings of the GT NEO 3. Realme has decided to opt for MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100 5G Processor, where some would say its comparable to Qualcomm’s highly-rated Snapdragon 888.
The GT NEO 3 will embed four A78 core CPUs which will run at up to 2.85GHz to allow for quicker and smoother performance. This, together with the powerful Mali-G610 six-core GPU, will enhance your gaming experience to levels beyond as even the most graphically demanding games will run seamlessly.
Battery
Much emphasis has been shed on GT NEO 3’s 80W SuperDart Charge, which would see its 5000mAh battery hit 0% – 50% within a mere 12 minutes. And don’t worry about overheating. Realme has optimized the temperature control of the GT NEO 3, such that the highest temperature while charging will always remain below 40°C.
Aside from that, Realme has also upgraded the number of battery charge cycles to 1600 while retaining 80% of its original capacity. To put this into perspective, most smartphones will only hold 80% of its charging capacity for 800 cycles.
Although a second version of the GT NEO 3 was launched in China and India, one that boasts 150W SuperDart Charge on a 4500mAh battery, it has been clear for some time that Realme will only launch its 80W SuperDart Charge version in Malaysia.
Display
It was go big or go home for Realme, and the upsizing of the display tells you they went BIG. Fitted with a 6.7-inch 120Hz Reality Display, the GT NEO 3 now boasts the largest display size in Realme history alongside the GT2 Pro.
Also, micro improvements to the bottom bezel now gives users an impressive 94.2% screen-to-body ratio for a fully immersive experience into their own digital world.
Camera
You can count on the GT NEO 3 to give your Instagram feed a boost with Sony’s IMX766 OIS (Optimal Image Stabilization) camera!
Expect crystal clear images even at low light settings thanks to the 50MP flagship camera equipped with a large 1/1.56-inch sensor capable of superior light intake. Working in tandem with the professional-level dual stabilization (OIS + EIS) and speedy focus technology, the GT NEO 3 will deliver crisp and colour-popping images no matter how dim the room is.
Heat Dissipation Technology
Not all smartphones are able to handle the magnitude of high-graphic games, and elite gamers can’t afford to pause for a cool down.
This need not be the case anymore. One of the standout features of the GT NEO 3 is its heat dissipation technology using the Stainless Steel Vapor Cooling System Max. By redesigning the layout and materials used, the GT NEO 3 now has a total cooling area of 39,606mm2. This is the largest cooling system that Realme has ever made.
