With a focus on delivering picture and sound as intended by filmmakers, the BRAVIA 5 features Studio Calibrated modes including Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode, Sony Pictures Core Calibrated Mode, and Prime Video Calibrated Mode. It also supports IMAX Enhanced and is compatible with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for enhanced brightness, contrast, colour, and immersive audio across popular streaming content.
The BRAVIA 5 integrates Sony’s XR Backlight Master Drive technology for precise local dimming, ensuring accurate contrast and detail across the 98-inch display. In terms of sound, users can combine the TV with BRAVIA Theatre home audio systems for a seamless experience. The BRAVIA Connect app further simplifies control, allowing volume and settings adjustments directly from a smartphone.

Sustainability and accessibility are also key aspects of the BRAVIA lineup. The BRAVIA 5 optimises brightness and power efficiency through proprietary signal processing, and offers an Eco Dashboard for managing energy settings.
Recycled materials including plastic, steel, and aluminium are used across components such as the speaker box and bezel. For accessibility, Talkback screen reader functionality and tactile port markers are available, alongside voice command capabilities and shortcut settings for ease of use.
As part of a promotional bundle exclusive to the Sony Expo, the BRAVIA 5 is available for RM29,999 and includes the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 9, a Premium Wireless Subwoofer SA-SW5, and RM300 Touch ‘n Go credit.

Also featured at the event are the BRAVIA 8 II and BRAVIA 2 II. The BRAVIA 8 II combines a Slim One Slate design with Sony’s XR Processor and QD-OLED panel for vivid colour reproduction and superior contrast. It also incorporates Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology, turning the screen into a sound source for enhanced realism. Meanwhile, the BRAVIA 2 II serves as an accessible entry point with essential features like 4K upscaling, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X compatibility, and Google TV integration.
