Shokz OpenFit Air headphones now available in Malaysia
Runners, gym bros, and athletes alike will have a new option to mull over if they’re planning to get themselves a new pair of headphones.
The new Shokz OpenFit Air has officially landed in Malaysia, adding to the brand’s growing catalogue of fitness-centric earphones designed for comfort. The OpenFit Air is priced at RM599, and is available for purchase starting today at Urban Republic. Alternatively, you can also get them online at Nove Marketing’s online store.
The OpenFit Air plays its role as the affordable variant of the OpenFit headphones released in 2023. If you’re new to the Shokz brand, these headphones are unlike conventional in-ear buds that dig deep into your ear canals. Instead, these sit snugly at the opening of the ear and are kept in place via an earhook that loops on the backside of the ear. Since your ears are not clogged up, wearers will have the benefit of both music and situational awareness, leading to safer workouts.
The OpenFit Air weighs only 8.7g and is IP54-rated for water and sweat resistance, making it an ideal and durable option for long, sweat-inducing activities. You’ll get 6 hours from the earphones on a single charge, reaching up to 28 hours with the charging case. According to Shokz, a 10-minute charge will grant up to 2 hours of listening time.
It supports up to Bluetooth 5.2, which gives a leeway of about 10 metres between the buds and the audio source. On that note, the OpenFit Air relies on an 18×11 composite dynamic driver for powerful and rich audio.
The OpenFit Air is available in three colours: Pink, White, and Black.
