SHARP teams up with Mission Impossible to release new AQUOS XLED TVs

Consumer electronics giant SHARP marks their 111th anniversary with the unveiling of its latest flagship AQUOS XLED TV. The launch took place at the Dolby Atmos Halls of TGV Cinemas in Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

It was on the big screen itself where SHARP officially introduced the latest in the AQUOS lineup.

The SHARP AQUOS XLED integrates groundbreaking solutions in backlight technology, colour representation, as well as in speaker systems. As such, the AQUOS XLED prides itself on achieving the ‘impossible’ with unparalleled visual and audio experience.

According to SHARP, the AQUOS XLED is able to produce true-to-life colours thanks to its Xtreme miniLED and Xtreme Brightness features. The combination of 2,000 dimming zones as well as 88x backlight LEDs ensures dynamic colour contrast as well as 6x peak brightness.

Coupled with SHARP’s Deep Chroma Display for vivid colours, the AQUOS XLED offers the highest colour representation in the history of AQUOS TVs.

Providing immersive audio experience on the other hand is an ARSS+ System equipped with 11 speakers placed strategically around the screen.

Working in tandem with SHARP’s innovative technology is the combination of Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision IQ. The fusion of Dolby Atmos’ multi-dimensional sound, and the Dolby Vision IQ’s ability to optimize picture quality based on ambient light puts the AQUOS XLED head and shoulders above other TVs in its segment.

In a press release, Mr. Ting Yang Chung, Managing Director of SHARP, acknowledges Dolby’s crucial role in bringing the AQUOS XLED to life: “Thanks to Dolby Vision IQ, AQUOS XLED ensures true colour and brightness in any environment, overcoming industry challenges that seemed almost impossible.”

The AQUOS XLED will come in two variants: a 65-inch version (4TC-C65FV1X) which is available now for RM15,999, and a 75-inch version (4TC-C75FV1X) which will arrive in July at a price of RM25,999.

In addition to successfully achieving ‘Impossible’ standards, SHARP also announced its partnership with upcoming blockbuster Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1.
