Serial Apple leakster leaks the upcoming foldable iPhone

By Raymond Saw December 29, 2025

Serial Apple leakster Jon Prosser is back with another new video showcasing the yet-unannounced iPhone Fold. If that name rings a bell, that’s because Prosser is being sued by Cupertino for ‘stealing trade secrets’ in order to get information for more leaks.

The lawsuit isn’t stopping Prosser from continuing his schtick though. In his latest video, he showcases a render of the upcoming iPhone Fold in all its glory. Apparently only coming in black or white, Prosser claims the highlight will be the crease-free main display. Speaking of displays, the main display will be a 7.8-inch display, while the cover screen measures around 5.5-inches diagonally. He also mentions that when folded the iPhone Fold will only be around 9mm thin—approximately the same as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.

On top of that, Prosser alleges that the iPhone Fold will have four cameras—two on the rear, one in the cover screen and one in the main display. There will also be no Face ID, with Touch ID making a return in the power button, this time on the top of the device. The volume rocker and action button meanwhile gets moved to the right hand side.

Apple will seemingly use their own C2 modem too for wireless connectivity. Together with a pair of high density battery cells, the high efficiency C2 modem should allow for a longer battery life. Prosser also states that the iPhone Fold won’t be cheap; expect a starting price around USD 2,000.

One curious thing Prosser claims in his video is that there will only be the iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max and the iPhone Fold coming next year. He starts the video by saying that these three will be the only iPhones launching next year, though near the end adds that they will be the only three launching in September. This follows conflicting reports on the regular iPhone 18; some claim that it will be pushed to 2027, while others say it may come earlier in 2026, alongside the iPhone 17e.

Also, if you’ve been keeping up with the iPhone Fold news over the past year or so, you might be pretty familiar with everything he’s saying. That’s because for the most part, it’s all been previously alleged by other Apple reporters like Mark Gurman and Ming-Chi Kuo. That being said, Prosser’s video still mostly covers everything you would want to know about the upcoming foldable in a single video.
