Samsung Unpacked: Galaxy Watch4, Buds2, Z Flip3 and Z Fold3
During the recent Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung unveiled four new products: the Galaxy Watch4, Galaxy Buds2, Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3. Unfortunately, there was no announcement of the highly anticipated Galaxy S21 FE during the event.
In this article, we’ll be covering the key highlights of each product along with its full specifications and its official pricing in Malaysia.
Galaxy Watch4 Series
The Galaxy Watch4 series comes in two variants: the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic. In addition, the two variants also offer Bluetooth or LTE options. The Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic differs only in case material (aluminum vs stainless steel) and a slight difference in size.
Galaxy Watch4 Key Highlights
- Watch OS: Instead of running its proprietary TizenOS, the new watch runs on OneUI Watch 3 which is based on WearOS and it’s co-developed with Google. With the new OS, it gets to tap into an expansive ecosystem like Google Play Store which supports for leading third-party apps like adidas Running, Calm, Strava and Spotify.
- Processor: Powered by Exynos W920 Dual-core 1.18Ghz 5nm processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The new chipset offers a 20% faster CPU and 10x faster GPU compared to the previous generation.
- New Feature: Samsung BioActive Sensor (Optical Heart Rate + Electrical Heart + Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis)

Galaxy Buds2
Samsung emphasized that the new earbuds offer a superior audio resolution using a dual-drivers setup; an 11mm tweeter and a 6.5mm woofer.

- Active Noise Cancellation: Unlike the Buds and Buds+ that relied on just passive noise suppression, the Buds2 comes complete with Active Noise Cancellation. Samsung claims this earbuds can filter up to 98% external noise.

Galaxy Z Fold3 5G
Aesthetically, it does look pretty identical with the previous Galaxy Z Fold2 but the Z Fold3 5G is in fact packed with several impressive new features under its hood.
Galaxy Z Fold3 5G Key Highlights
- Under Display Camera: The Z Fold3 5G new cutting edge technology of the under-display 4MP camera on the internal screen. This ensure that the camera is not noticeable on the display whenever it is not in use.
- S Pen Support: Samsung brought its beloved Note series technology to Z Fold3 – the S Pen functionality. It’s a total different S pen specially designed for the Galaxy Z Fold3; S Pen Fold Edition and S Pen Pro. Both the S Pen feature retractable Pro tip with force limit technology to protect the main screen.
- IPX8 rating: The device can be submerged submerged up to 1.5 meter for 30minutes. This makes the Z Fold3 5G the first foldable phone with water resistance.
- Display: The front 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x Display now gets a smooth adaptive 120Hz refresh rate while the internal sports a 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x Display with also adaptive 120Hz refresh rate.

Galaxy Z Flip3 5G
Lastly, we’ve got the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G with a refreshed design that does look similar to the Pixel 6. Furthermore, it comes in more colour options with something for everyone.

- Bigger Cover Display: The major upgrade is the cover screen which is now bigger and more usable with a 1.9-inch SuperAMOLED display; Previously 1.1-inch.
- IPX8 rating: The device can be submerged submerged up to 1.5 meter for 30minutes. This makes the Z Flip3 5G the first flip-able phone with water resistance.
- Processor: Z Flip 5G is now even more powerful with its Snapdragon 888 processor. Previously, Snapdragon 865+.
