Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Series arrives in Malaysia with RM899 starting price

Samsung has officially released their new line of tablets with the introduction of the Galaxy Tab A9 series. They consist of the Galaxy Tab A9, and the Galaxy Tab A9+.

For connectivity, the Tab A9 only supports LTE connection. With the Tab A9+, you can choose between Wi-Fi or 5G connectivity. In total, there are three variants to choose from, with their prices listed below:

• Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 (4GB+64GB) – RM899
• Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ Wi-Fi (4GB+65GB) – RM1,099
• Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G (4GB+64GB) – RM1,649

There will be an early bird promo starting from the 23rd of October to the 30th of November. During this period, all purchases will come with a free 3-month Viu subscription worth RM29.90. Customers will also get a pay-with-purchase (PWP) offer of up to 30% off on Samsung Care+ and selected Samsung accessories.

Aside from the obvious gap in connectivity, there isn’t much else that separate the Tab A9 and Tab A9+. The base model Galaxy Tab A9 sports an 8.7″ WXGA+ (1340x800px) display, with up to 60Hz refresh rates. It comes with dual speakers, both powered by Dolby Atmos. As for batteries, the tablet only packs a 5,100mAh capacity.

The Galaxy Tab A9+ on the other hand has a larger 11″ WUXGA (1920x1200px) display, with a higher 90Hz refresh rates. Similarly, speakers are all powered by Dolby Atmos, though you’ll have quad speakers on this model. Batteries are significantly larger at 7040mAh.

Storage space is expandable by up to 1TB, regardless of the model you choose.

For colour options, you can pick between Graphite, Silver, or Navy.
