Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Leak Suggests Minimal Camera Changes, New Telephoto Sensor Revealed
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is reportedly set to launch in late February 2026, continuing the brand’s flagship tradition. However, recent leaks suggest that the upcoming device may not introduce major upgrades to its camera system compared to its predecessor.

According to a reliable source, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to retain nearly the same camera configuration as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, with one notable change — the 10MP telephoto sensor will reportedly be replaced by a new 12MP Samsung S5K3LD sensor for 3x optical zoom.
The main camera setup will reportedly feature a 200MP Samsung HP2 sensor, accompanied by a 50MP JN3 ultrawide lens and a 50MP Sony IMX854 periscope telephoto unit capable of 5x optical zoom. On the front, the smartphone is said to include a 12MP Sony IMX874 sensor for selfies.
In addition to the minor hardware revision, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to introduce a new APV video codec option, which could enhance recording efficiency and video quality. While no other significant changes have been confirmed, these updates suggest that Samsung may focus on software refinements and performance optimization for its next flagship release.
