Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Leak Suggests An Interesting Battery Upgrade

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has been the subject of intense speculation, particularly regarding its battery capacity. While earlier rumors suggested the device would retain the same 5,000 mAh battery as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, a new leak from China claims the S26 Ultra will feature a 5,200 mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Battery Capacity Rumors

According to the leak, the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 5,200 mAh battery marks a modest upgrade over previous Ultra models, which consistently shipped with 5,000 mAh units. However, the claim contradicts an August certification in China, which listed the device with a rated capacity of 4,855 mAh, translating to a typical advertised capacity of 5,000 mAh. This discrepancy means the actual battery size remains uncertain until more sources confirm the details.
Charging Speed Improvements
Beyond battery capacity, rumors also point to faster charging speeds. The Ultra model is expected to support 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging, a notable improvement over the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 45W wired and 15W wireless charging capabilities. If true, this would give Samsung’s flagship a competitive edge against rivals offering higher wattage charging solutions.
Leaked renders of the upcoming flagship smartphone have already fueled excitement about the device’s design. Still, the battery capacity remains one of the most debated aspects of the upcoming flagship. Until Samsung provides official specifications, fans will need to wait for further leaks or announcements to confirm whether the S26 Ultra truly delivers a bigger battery.
