Samsung Galaxy Buds4 and Buds4 Pro: Improved ANC, Galaxy-only AI features, from RM699

Alongside the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung also unpacked their brand new Galaxy Buds4 and Buds4 Pro wireless earbuds at their recent Galaxy Unpacked event. According to Samsung, their latest TWS earbuds feature improved sound quality, stronger noise cancellation and a more secure fit.
The Buds4 series continues to use the AirPod-like stem design, with the ‘blade’, as Samsung calls it, developed using large-scale ear shape data and thousands of simulations to optimise stability and comfort. The earbuds now feature smaller heads for a better fit, along with a stabilised stem that includes a metal finish and an engraved pinch control area. The charging case itself meanwhile has a transparent clamshell design.

Just like the Apple AirPods and AirPods Pro, the Buds4 come with an open-fit design without silicone eartips, while the Buds4 Pro uses a canal-fit design with eartips for better isolation. Both models are available in White and Black with a matte finish, while the Buds4 Pro also gets an online-exclusive Pink Gold option.

The main hardware upgrade is on the Buds4 Pro. It features a new 11mm wider woofer that increases the effective vibration area by nearly 20% compared to the previous generation, without increasing size. Together with a 5.5mm planar tweeter in a two-way speaker setup, it supports 24-bit/96kHz audio allowing for improved bass, clearer treble and more accurate sound reproduction. The speaker placement has also been adjusted to improve Active Noise Cancellation performance and reduce wind interference.

On top of that, the Galaxy Buds4 series comes with enhanced Adaptive ANC and EQ. The system analyses how the earbuds are worn and adjusts frequencies in real time to optimise noise cancellation and reduce sound leakage. Samsung says this allows the earbuds to better adapt to environments such as public transport while maintaining balanced audio. Super Clear Call meanwhile allows for super wideband support and machine learning-based noise reduction in calls.

And just like Apple with their extra AirPods features reserved for iPhone users, the Galaxy users will get extra Buds4 series features too. This includes being able to AI assistants such as Bixby, Google Gemini and Perplexity via voice commands. Galaxy users using the Buds4 Pro also get head gesture controls for managing calls and interacting with Bixby, as well as being able to connect the earbuds by simply opening the case, with controls accessible through the Quick Panel without requiring manual app setup.
The Galaxy Buds4 series is already available for pre-order from Samsung Malaysia’s website, with the base Buds4 priced at RM699 and the Buds4 Pro priced at RM999. Those who purchase selected Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series devices will also be able to snag 10% off the Buds4 series from now till the end of May.
