Samsung Galaxy A24 Available in Malaysia at only RM999
Those in the market for an affordable mid-range smartphone can officially turn their gaze to the Samsung Galaxy A24. Samsung’s latest smartphone is the fourth launch in the A-series this year, coming after the Galaxy A14 (RM799), A34 (RM1,599), and A54 (RM1,899).
If interested, the Galaxy A24 will officially retail at RM999. You can make your purchase on Samsung’s official website from today onwards. If you’re wondering about early bird promos, all purchases within the 31st of May will be entitled to 1 year extended warranty, and a free clear case worth RM79.
The Samsung Galaxy A24 will come with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Fret not if you feel that’s not enough, as RAM can be extended to 16GB via RAM Plus. Storage is also expandable up to 1TB thanks to a MicroSD card slot.
Samsung has opted for MediaTek’s Helio G99 processor for the Galaxy A24, shifting away from the Snapdragon processor on last year’s A23.
You’d be forgiven if you mistook the A24 for the A54, or any of its A series siblings for that matter. It retains the similar design that has seemingly become a staple in the series: rounded panels with a linear camera deck.
This said deck consist of a triple camera system consisting of a 50MP main camera supported with OIS; a 5MP ultra-wide lens; and a 2MP macro lens.
The Galaxy A24 sports a 6.5″ FHD+ Super AMOLED display. It comes with 90Hz refresh rates and an Infinity-U teardrop display which envelops the 13MP front camera.
Batteries are kept at 5,000mAh, with 25W fast charging. Other than that, the Galaxy A24 comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm audio jack.
For connectivity, the Galaxy A24 supports up to WiFi 5 and has Bluetooth 5.3.
You’ll have three colour choices to pick from: Dark Red, Light Green, and Black.
