Samsung Galaxy A07 5G listed on the Samsung Malaysia website, launching soon?

Those looking for a budget 5G smartphone might have a new option to consider very soon. That’s because Samsung Malaysia has already listed the Galaxy A07 5G on their website, perhaps a sign that it’ll be launching here in the near future.

Not to be confused with the 4G-only Galaxy A07 LTE, the Galaxy A07 5G offers a couple of noticeable upgrades over the non-5G model. The biggest one is under the hood, with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 system-on-chip powering it, giving it 5G network on top of a slight performance bump. There’s only one model listed on the site, with 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage, as well as support for up to 2TB of external storage.

One very nice feature is that Samsung is guaranteeing at least 6 years of major Android OS upgrades. This means that while you get One UI 8 skinned over Android 16 out of the box, you should be able to still get One UI 12 down the line which is pretty impressive for an entry level device.

As for its display, the Galaxy A07 5G comes with a 6.7-inch PLS LCD display, pushing a HD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, higher than the 90Hz displays on the Galaxy A07 LTE and the Galaxy A06 5G. You also get an IP54 dust and water resistance rating, along with a 6,000mAh battery keeping the lights on. As for cameras, you get a main 50MP shooter with a secondary auxiliary lens, while an 8MP camera upfront helps you take selfies.

While it’s already listed on the Samsung Malaysia website, there’s no price listed for now. We do however know the price of the Galaxy A07 5G in the Philippines at least—albeit for a 4GB+128GB model—where it’s priced at PHP 9,990 (~RM667.65).
