[Update as of 16th April 2024]

In its latest press release, Samsung has announced that Galaxy AI will be integrated into older models beyond just selected 2023 and 2024 flagship models.

Now, Samsung has confirmed that users of the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy Z Flip4, and Galaxy Tab S8 series will receive Galaxy AI too.

Galaxy AI will be available via the latest One UI 6.1 update, set to roll out starting from early May for the aforementioned devices.

Earlier this year, Samsung launched the S24 Series with much fanfare surrounding its AI features. The Galaxy AI, as they call it, bestowed the flagship S24 Series with a host of AI functions including Circle to Search with Google, Chat Assist, Interpreter, Live Translate, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, Browsing Assist, Generative Edit, Edit Suggestion, and AI-generated Wallpaper.

At that period of time, it seemed like only the latest S24 Series models would be lucky enough to hold that Galaxy AI honor.

However, a latest announcement by Samsung has confirmed that the suite of AI capabilities will come to its older models as well. Samsung users can expect to enjoy the AI features when the latest One UI 6.1 update is available on their phones.

The Samsung models expected to receive Galaxy AI includes the:

  • Galaxy S23 Series, including Galaxy S23 FE
  • Galaxy Z Flip5
  • Galaxy Z Fold5
  • Galaxy Tab S9 Series

Roll-outs for the One UI 6.1 update has already begun, and should be reaching eligible Galaxy devices soon.
