Did Samsung just accidentally reveal the Galaxy S25 Edge price?

By Timothy Teoh May 2, 2025

If you’ve been mingling in the tech sphere, you would likely have heard about the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge. Spec leaks have been trickling out over the past few months, but it wasn’t until recently that the phone’s official pricing was seemingly – and mistakenly – uncovered.

The news broke via Bluesky user Roland Quandt, who posted a screenshot of a webpage from Samsung’s Canadian site. The screenshot contained not just the S25 Edge’s price in Canadian dollars, but also its two available configurations: 256GB and 512GB.

To satiate your curiosity, the 256GB model was priced at $1,678.99 CAD (~RM5,214.25), while the 512GB variant came in at $1,858.99 CAD (~RM5,773.26).

Based on rumours, the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to sit between the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra, which have starting prices of RM4,999 and RM5,999, respectively. As such, a ballpark figure between RM5,399 and RM5,799 seems like a reasonable estimate.

As for availability, though not official confirmed yet, the slated unveiling date for the S25 Edge is May 13, with availability in Malaysia possibly following at a later date.

Galaxy S25 Edge leaks

Leaks from multiple sources, including well-known X leakster Evan Blass, suggest that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite rather than the Exynos.

A key highlight of the phone is its slim 5.85mm form factor, making it the thinnest in the S25 Series. For comparison, the Galaxy S25 and S25+ are 7.2mm thick, while the S25 Ultra measures 8.2mm. The compromise of having a slim design is a cutback on batteries. The S25 Edge will reportedly only have a 3,900mAh battery – the smallest in the series. Nevertheless, it still retains an IP68 rating.

The S25 Edge will also miss out on a telephoto lens. Instead, its rear shooters consist only of a 200MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide. The front camera remains at 12MP.

While it is the slimmest, it isn’t the smallest. The S25 Edge will feature a 6.7″ AMOLED display with a 1440×3120 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rates, all protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. The rear panels, on the other hand, is protected by Glass Victus 2.

In terms of colour choices, leaked renders show the phone in three finishes: Titanium Jetblack, Titanium Icy Blue, and Titanium Silver.
