ROG XG Mobile (2025) now available: RTX 5070 Ti eGPU priced at RM6,299

Recently got yourself an ROG Xbox Ally but struggling to run some newer triple-A titles? Well you can now give your little handheld a big performance buff thanks to the new ROG XG Mobile external GPU that’s been refreshed with the RTX 50 series.
Specifically, it’s the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU under the hood of the new ROG XG Mobile. While other countries did get the higher end variant with the RTX 5090, it seems that Malaysia will only be getting the lower SKU for now. That being said, the RTX 5070 Ti ROG XG Mobile is no slouch. It packs 12GB of GDDR7 memory with a 192-bit bus, built on NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture. There’s 5888 CUDA cores with up to 992 TOPS of AI capabilities, as well as support for features like NVIDIA DLSS 4.
As for the ROG XG Mobile enclosure itself, it’s now 18.2% smaller and 26.8% lighter than its predecessor. It also has a redesigned hinge with an included stand giving you space-saving options for those light on desk space. The GPU itself is kept cool thanks to a redesigned vapour chamber allowing for 150% more cooling surface area compared to a standard heatpipe design, while keeping noise levels low. You’ll also find a semi-transparent case with RGB lighting and full Aura Sync support for the complete gamer aesthetic.
The ROG XG Mobile doubles as a dock too of course, giving you Thunderbolt 5, USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, SD card slot, Ethernet port, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 ports. By using a Thunderbolt 5 connection, the ROG XG Mobile boasts up to an 80Gb/s transfer speed, but does support connecting to Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 ports too.

For those keen, the ROG XG Mobile is priced at RM6,299 and you’ll be able to find it on sale on the ASUS Malaysia official eStore.
