RM2.5k tax relief phones, tablets and computers
Amongst the initiatives, the one most noting is the extension to the tax relief of up to RM2,500 tax for phone, tablet or computer purchases till 31st December 2021. In other words, if you’ve yet to upgrade your persona devices, this would be a great year to do so.
Note: The tax exemption is per individual and not household. Additional purchases can be made with the help of family members to effectively maximize the overall tax exemption.
Tax Filling 2020 Now Open (Update 1/3/2021)
Individuals can now begin filing 2020 taxes can claim relief for laptops / smartphones / tablets. Tax filing deadline is 30th April 2021
