What is this RM13,999 smartwatch that HUAWEI just unveiled?

October 6, 2023

No need to rub your eyes, what you see in the title is correct – an RM13,999 smartwatch.

On the same day HUAWEI launched the Watch GT 4, the brand also unveiled an interesting new addition to their smartwatch lineup – the HUAWEI Watch Ultimate Design.

In essence, this is a luxurious take of the HUAWEI Watch Ultimate released only a few months ago in May. The Watch Ultimate officially retails at RM3,799, the same price as the Apple Watch Ultra 2.

As you can tell, this version – the HUAWEI Watch Ultimate Design edition – is a far more ambitious option. Why so? Well, because it has gold on it.

The Watch Ultimate Design has six 18K gold inlays embellishing the edges of the black nanocrystal ceramic bezels. 18K gold can also be found on the crown and buttons of the watch.

The colour theme spills onto the adjustable butterfly buckle, sporting a triple mesh chain strap of black and gold. This however, is not real gold.

Deluxe begins even from the box. If you are one of the few buyers of the Watch Ultimate Design, it will arrive to you in a black leather box with plush brown interior.

No Tom, Dick, and Harry can purchase the Watch Ultimate Design. There are only 100 units available, available starting 14th October, and only at 8 selected HUAWEI Experience stores in:

  • Kuala Lumpur – Suria KLCC, Pavilion Bukit Bintang
  • Selangor – Sunway Pyramid, One Utama, IOI City Mall
  • Johor – Mid Valley Southkey, Tebrau City
  • Penang – Queensbay Mall

Exclusive service is provided for the 100 who can get their hands (and their money) on the Watch Ultimate Design. Aside from a 2 year warranty, they will also have access to 1-to-1 VIP Hotline Service, and Door-to-door pickup service (only for those in KL).

If you’re wondering about specs, it’s exactly the same as the Watch Ultimate. You’ll still have that 10ATM water resistance, allowing you to go to depths of 100m for scuba diving and free diving.

You’ll have the lot of health sensors too, such as Heart Rate Monitoring, SpO2 tracking, Stress Management, and Sleep Monitoring.

And not to mention the100+ workout modes and Bluetooth calling capabilities.
