Refreshed 2025 ROG Strix Series now available for pre-order

ASUS has refreshed the ROG Strix Series gaming laptops for 2025, with the new lineup consisting of the Strix SCAR 16, Strix SCAR 18, Strix G16, and Strix G18. These ROG powerhouses now feature the latest processors from Intel, with the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 275HX powering all models in the series.

Meanwhile, the ROG Strix family offers up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, making it ideal for demanding titles, desktop applications, and AI workflows. It also incorporates NVIDIA DLSS 4 technology, allowing gamers to experience cutting-edge graphics enhancements such as ray tracing.

Depending on the model you choose, the Strix SCAR 16 and 18 support up to 64GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM and up to 4TB PCIe Gen 4 storage, while the Strix G16 and G18 support up to 32GB DDR5 5600 MHz RAM and 1TB PCIe Gen 4 storage.

Beyond processors, the ROG Strix series introduces the first-ever tool-less bottom panel on a gaming laptop. With just a press of a button, users can detach the bottom panel to clean the fans or upgrade the RAM and storage effortlessly.

Chipset aside, ASUS has also redesigned the cooling system with a new sandwich heatsink layout. This updated design repositions the heatsink fins at the top and bottom of the end-to-end vapour chamber, resulting in improved cooling efficiency. The thermal system is further enhanced with full-length rear exhaust vents and liquid metal applied to both the CPU and GPU.

Lastly, all Strix 2025 machines now feature a dual-layer ACR film that reduces reflections by 55% and boosts contrast by 4.5x.

    ASUS has introduced the latest iteration of its compact gaming tablet, the ROG Flow Z13 (2025), in Malaysia. The device continues the series’ focus on blending portability with gaming performance, now featuring updated internals and an improved cooling system.

    The ROG Flow Z13 (2025) is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, which integrates RDNA 3.5 graphics cores for gaming and dedicated NPU cores capable of 50 TOPS of AI performance. It features a unified quad-channel memory design, with 32GB of LPDDR5X-8000 RAM shared between the CPU and GPU. Storage is handled by a 1TB M.2 SSD (2230).

    To improve thermal efficiency, ASUS has incorporated a new vapor chamber cooling system made from stainless steel and copper, providing 54% more coverage over the mainboard. The redesigned airflow path, combined with second-generation Arc Flow Fans, is intended to help maintain lower temperatures under load.

    The device features a 13.4-inch ROG Nebula Display with a resolution of 2560×1600 (2.5K), a 180Hz refresh rate, and 100% DCI-P3 colour accuracy. It has a peak brightness of 500 nits. Powering the device is a 70WHrs battery.

    Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. In terms of ports, it offers one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, two USB 4 Type-C ports (supporting DisplayPort and power delivery up to 40Gbps), and a microSD (UHS-II) card reader.

    Weighing 1.2kg, the ROG Flow Z13 (2025) comes bundled with an ASUS Pen, an ROG Sleeve, a 100W Type-C AC Adapter, and a 200W AC Adapter.
