Looking for an Affordable Tablet? Redmi Pad 2 Series Starts at RM559 with Extras
Xiaomi Malaysia has officially launched the Redmi Pad 2 Series, comprising two models: the standard Redmi Pad 2 and the Redmi Pad 2 4G. The only difference between the two is cellular support — the 4G model includes mobile network connectivity, while the standard version is Wi-Fi only. Both tablets are otherwise identical in hardware and features.
Powering the Redmi Pad 2 Series is the MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra processor. Users can choose between two memory configurations: 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, or 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. The display is an 11-inch LCD panel with a 2.5K (2560×1600) resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi has also emphasised eye comfort with TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, flicker-free viewing, and circadian-friendly lighting.
For audio, the tablets are equipped with a quad-speaker setup that supports Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio. The series includes a large 9,000mAh battery.
Running on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, the Redmi Pad 2 Series integrates seamlessly with other Xiaomi devices. Key software features include Call sync (which mirrors phone calls on the tablet), Network sync (allowing instant hotspot access from a paired phone), and Shared clipboard (enabling copy-paste across devices).
Redmi Pad 2 Series Malaysia price
The Redmi Pad 2 will be available from June 20, 2025, through Xiaomi stores, mi.com, and official Xiaomi shops on Shopee and Lazada. Colour options for the Redmi Pad 2 include Graphite Gray, Mint Green, and Lavender Purple, while the 4G model comes in Graphite Gray and Mint Green.
Pricing for the Redmi Pad 2 starts at RM599 for the 4GB/128GB Wi-Fi model (online exclusive) and RM799 for the 8GB/256GB variant. The Redmi Pad 2 4G is priced at RM699 for 4GB/128GB and RM999 for 8GB/256GB.
As part of an early bird promotion, all models purchased online will come with a free Redmi Pad 2 cover and a Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active. Additionally, the 4GB/128GB Wi-Fi-only model will be available at a discounted price of RM559 during this promo.
