REDMI Note 15 Malaysia: Up to Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and 108MP camera, from RM799
On top of the higher end REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G and REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G, Xiaomi Malaysia has also launched the classic REDMI Note 15 in Malaysia. These popular midrange smartphones are now available in your choice between a 5G-capable model or a 4G-only device that’s a bit more budget-friendly.

Here’s how much the REDMI Note 15 will cost in Malaysia:
- REDMI Note 15, 8GB + 256GB – RM799
- REDMI Note 15 5G, 6GB + 128GB – RM849
- REDMI Note 15 5G, 8GB + 256GB – RM949
The REDMI Note 15 series will go on sale from 16 January onwards, and from then till 28 February you can get a free Xiaomi Sound Pocket worth RM69 too if you snag the 256GB REDMI Note 15 5G. One more thing to note is that the 4G-only REDMI Note 15 will be an online-only exclusive, available on the Xiaomi Malaysia website as well as their official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop.
REDMI Note 15 series specs
Starting off with the display, both the REDMI Note 15 5G and 4G-only REDMI Note 15 come with a 6.77-inch AMOLED display, pushing a FHD+ resolution with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a peak brightness of 3200nits.
Under the hood though you’ll start seeing some differences. The REDMI Note 15 5G will come with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 system-on-chip, while the REDMI Note 15 comes with a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra SoC instead. They come with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, along with Android 15 skinned with HyperOS 2 over it. One nice touch though is that both will get 4 years of major OS upgrades with 6 years of security patches.
As for cameras, both devices will come with a main 108MP, f/1.7 shooter on the back, with the REDMI Note 15 5G also getting an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide; the 4G-only REDMI Note 15 gets just an auxiliary lens instead. Up front, both devices get a 20MP, f/2.2 selfie shooter.
Keeping the lights on meanwhile is a 5,520mAh battery on the REDMI Note 15 5G and a 6,000mAh battery on the 4G-only REDMI Note 15. Despite a smaller battery, the former does get faster 45W wired charging compared to the 33W speeds on the latter; both devices still get 18W reverse wired charging.
Other features of note include stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, expandable storage along with an IP66 dust and water resistance rating on the 5G model and IP64 on the 4G model.
