REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G Malaysia: Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and 200MP camera, from RM1,699
After teasing it since the start of the year, Xiaomi have finally launched the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G in Malaysia. The highlight of the REDMI Note 15 series, it packs everything you’d expect in a premium midrange device, such as a large battery, decent display and great camera at a wallet friendly price.
REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G Malaysia pricing and availability
There will be two options of the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G coming to Malaysia:
- REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage – RM1,699
- REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G, 12GB RAM, 512GB storage – RM1,899
You’ll be able to pre-order the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G from 16 January till 21 January. As part of their launch promo, those who pre-order will be able to get a free REDMI Pad SE 8.7″ together with its cover, worth RM748. On top of that, Xiaomi is giving you a free storage upgrade to the 512GB model too, meaning you can get the 512GB variant for just RM1,699.
If you miss out on the pre-order promo, there will still be an early bird deal from 22 January till 28 February; you’ll be able to snag a free Mi Vacuum Cleaner Mini worth RM179 with your REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G.
REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G specs and features
The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 system-on-chip, with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. You’ll find Android 15 out of the box, skinned with HyperOS 2 over it. It’ll also get 4 years of major OS upgrades with 6 years of security patches.
Keeping the lights on is a 6,500mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging.
As for its display, it gets a large 6.83-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display, bigger than its predecessor. Pushing a 2772 by 1280p resolution, the screen is also capable of a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 3200nits, along with support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. You also get a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 over it for scratch resistance.
In the camera department, there’s actually not much changed from last year’s REDMI Note 14 Pro+ 5G, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. That’s because you’re still getting a pretty decent 200MP, f/1.7 main camera using a 1/1.4″ image sensor, complete with OIS and multi-directional PDAF. That gets flanked by an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide camera, while up front you get a 32MP, f/2.2 selfie shooter.
Other features of note include stereo speakers capable of up to 400% volume boost, an in-display fingerprint sensor along with an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
