Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+
The headliners of the series are the undoubtedly the Pro and Pro+ models that each boast 200MP cameras with OIS now, in contrast to last year where only the Note 12 Pro+ had the 200MP cameras. Flanking the main 200MP camera is an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera. At the front is a 16MP punch hole camera.
Similarities of the Pro 5G and Pro+ 5G spills even onto displays, where they sport a 6.67″ AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution. However, the Pro+ 5G will don a premium curved display instead of a flat panel. Other than that, refresh rates maxes out at 120Hz, with peak brightness hitting 1,800nits. And, they both use Gorilla Glass Victus as protection.
The differences between the Pro 5G and Pro+ 5G emerges when it comes to processors. While the Note 13 Pro+ 5G packs a MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra, the Note 13 Pro 5G utilizes the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 instead. Another detail to consider is that the Note 13 Pro+ 5G will have up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS3.1 storage, while the Note 13 Pro 5G will keep to a single 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS2.2 storage configuration.
There’s also a slight difference in batteries, with the Pro 5G running on a 5,100mAh battery versus the 5,000 on the Pro+ 5G. However, charging on the Pro+ will be significantly quicker with a 120W HyperCharge, as compared to the 67W charging on the Pro 5G.
Although both Pro variants have Dolby Atmos-certified dual speakers, only the Pro 5G comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
As for colours, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G will come decked with dual-tone designs with light pastel colours surrounding the camera module. The device comes in Midnight Black, Moonlight White, and Aurora Purple.
It’s back to singular solid colours on Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, with the choice of Midnight Black, Ocean Teal, and Aurora Purple.
Redmi Note 13 and Redmi Note 13 5G specs
The Redmi Note 13 base variants are now fitted with 108MP main cameras, together with an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro lens.
Displays are largely similar with a 6.67″ AMOLED 1080p resolution with 120Hz refresh rates. Brightness levels differ though, with the Redmi Note 13 having 1,800nits peak brightness and the Redmi Note 13 5G only having 1,000nits. The same goes for protection, with the Note 13 layered by Gorilla Glass 3 and the Note 13 5G with Gorilla Glass 5.
Processors are different as well, with the Redmi Note 13 utilizing the Snapdragon 685 versus the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 on its 5G cousin. Both models will have LPDDR4X RAM and UFS2.2 storage.
Batteries on the other hand are exactly the same on both models with 5,000mAh battery and 33W charging. Both devices have Dolby Atmos-certified speakers, but only the Redmi Note 13 comes with dual speakers. You’ll find a 3.5mm headphone jack on both.
The Redmi Note 13 5G comes in three colours: Graphite Black, Ocean Teal, and Artic White. Similarly, the Redmi Note 13 has three colours: Midnight Black, Mint Green, and Ocean Sunset, the last colourway being Southeast Asia exclusive.
