REDMAGIC 9S Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 ‘leading version’ will launch on 25 July
REDMAGIC has announced the arrival of its latest flagship gaming smartphone, the REDMAGIC 9S Pro. According to REDMAGIC, the 9S Pro will be the first in Malaysia to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version, which promises increased CPU and GPU performance as well as greater energy efficiency
Moreover, helping in performance are up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS4.0 storage.
REDMAGIC phones are a gamer’s phone through and through, and this is reflected by the customizable RGB lights on the rear panels and the 520Hz shoulder triggers on the landscape edge.
For displays, the REDMAGIC 9S Pro sports a fully flat 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ (2480×1116) resolution. It has a 120Hz refresh rate, along with peak brightness that goes up to 1,600nits.
The ICE 13.5 cooling system helps in thermal management by implementing several cooling mechanisms, including a new frosting gel, a 10-layer setup, and a high-speed turbofan which can produce up to 22,000rpm.
Elsewhere, the REDMAGIC 9S Pro packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging.
Although not renowned for their cameras, the phone has a decent 50MP Samsung GN5 main camera with OIS, flanked by a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide camera.
The REDMAGIC 9S Pro will be available for purchase in Malaysia starting 25 July. The official prices are as listed below:

There will be a first sale promo accompanying the launch, which will run from 25 July until 8 August 2024. During this period, the REDMAGIC 9S Pro will undergo a price slash of RM500 for all models, together with a complimentary REDMAGIC VC Cooler 5 Pro worth RM249.
