If you’re looking for a powerful yet slim gaming smartphone, RedMagic might have just come up with the device you’re looking for. The RedMagic 11 Air made its mainland debut a couple of weeks ago, and has now landed in Malaysia too.

RedMagic 11 Air Malaysia pricing and availability

The RedMagic 11 Air will be available from 1 February onwards from their official RedMagic Malaysia website as well as their official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop. Here’s how much they’ll cost:

  • RedMagic 11 Air, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage – RM2,499
  • RedMagic 11 Air, 16GB RAM, 512GB storage – RM2,999

RedMagic 11 Air specs and features

As its name might suggest, the RedMagic 11 Air’s claim to fame here is that it’s their slimmest and lightest smartphone yet, measuring 12% thinner and 10% lighter than its sibling, the 11 Pro. Indeed, at just 8mm thin and 207g light, it’s both thinner and lighter than the iPhone 17 Pro Max too, while being only 3g heavier than the smaller iPhone 17 Pro.

That’s despite its large 6.85-inch AMOLED display, which has a 2688 x 1216p resolution and is capable of a 144Hz refresh rate, full coverage of the DCI-P3 colout gamut on top of a peak brightness of 1800nits. You’ll also find a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i over it for scratch resistance.

Under the hood, the RedMagic 11 Air is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite system-on-chip, which despite technically being last generation is still plenty powerful for almost all mobile games and tasks out there. That gets mated to up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, with Android 16 out of the box. A secondary RedCore R4 gaming chip meanwhile helps further boost gaming performance, handling tasks like upscaling games to 144fps and synchronising its RGB lighting with in-game audio.

Keeping all that silicon cool meanwhile is a built-in 24,000RPM cooling fan. This marks the first time RedMagic has managed to fit a cooling fan into their Air series of devices. The fan works in tandem with its upgraded thicker vapor chamber for what they claim is a 40% improvement in heat diffusion efficiency.

As for cameras, being a gaming smartphone you may not expect much but you still get a 50MP main camera here with OIS flanked by an 8MP ultrawide and a 16MP front camera.

There’s also 520Hz shoulder triggers for mobile gamers to have more inputs, while an IP54 dust and water resistance rating helps improve durability. Keeping the lights on meanwhile is a 7,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging. You’ll also find stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner and a transaprent back with RGB lighting.
