The realme narzo 50i that was released for first sales during the recent Singles Day Sales (11.11) topped the Shopee mobile phone sales chart to take the first place for best selling smartphone on the platform.

realme successfully sold a total of 5,000 units within 2 hours of the 11.11 Salebration sales, effectively securing their top position for most units of smartphones sold.

So, what’s so attractive about the realme narzo 50i? Let’s take a look!

Key Highlights

The realme narzo 50i is an entry-level smartphone that is priced at only RM499 (RM399 during first sales). It is powered by a UNISOC SC9863 Octa-core processor and is backed by a huge 5,000mAh battery.

Processor:

The UNISOC SC9863 processor is comparable to the MediaTek Helio G35 processor. Which in all honesty, these processors are not suitable for heavy gaming as suggested by realme on the official site.

While users will still be able to run games like Mobile Legends, PUBG and Call of Duty on low graphics settings, more demanding game titles like Genshin Impact and Asphalt 9 are not supported by the device.

Display & Design

The narzo 50i does offer a rather solid 6.5″ IPS LCD display that is able to compete even with some mid-tier smartphones in the market. The only drawback is perhaps its rather thick bezels around the display.

In terms of design, the narzo 50i though built mainly from plastic (plastic back and frame), does feel sturdy and well built when held. Do note that the device is relatively thick at 8.9mm and weighs 195gm.
