Here’s where you can get the Google Pixel 9 Series when it comes to Malaysia

At long last, Google has finally deemed it worthwhile to launch the Google Pixel series in Malaysia. Google’s heralded Pixel smartphones – always admired but achingly out of reach of us Malaysians – will make its local debut when the new Pixel 9 Series launches on 14 August 2024.

Based on leaks, the Pixel 9 Series is expected to put up four models on the global stage: the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 XL, and Pixel 9 Fold. Out of the four, Google Malaysia has only confirmed the Pixel 9 Pro at this point in time via their video teaser.

As to which other of these models, or if any other models for that matter, will make it here is still up in the air. It seems we’ll have to wait until the official launch date for further details.

Nevertheless, official retailers and telco partners of Google have already begun advertising campaigns promoting the Pixel 9 Series.

Where to buy Google Pixel 9 in Malaysia?

So far, the confirmed retailers are Urban Republic, Senheng, and senQ. It’s no surprise that each have been mum about details on the Pixel 9 Series, with only a ‘Register your interest’ form displayed on their separate microsites.

However, Senheng, along with its sister company, senQ, are already advertising exclusive benefits when you purchase with them. This includes an additional 1 year warranty, 0% easy payment plans (EPP) up to 60 months, nationwide delivery, and S-Coin cashbacks for trade-ins exclusive to PlusOne members.

Elsewhere, telco brands Maxis and CelcomDigi have also confirmed that they will be offering the Pixel 9 series, likely through their device ownership programs; these being Zerolution for Maxis, and Easy360 for CelcomDigi.

Again, apart from Maxis’ post on their official X account and CelcomDigi’s ‘Register your interest’ microsite, both seem to have their lips sealed on the matter.

It won’t be too long till the veils are lifted on the Pixel 9 Series, so until then, stay tuned!
