Realme 16 Pro+: Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 midranger with 200MP LumaColor camera for RM2,299
Having teased it for a couple of weeks now, Realme has finally debuted their latest smartphone in Malaysia, the Realme 16 Pro+. The more premium version of the non-Plus model, the 16 Pro+ offers a few choice upgrades over the former, with Snapdragon power and a larger, curved screen.

The Realme 16 Pro+ will come in just a single configuration with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, priced at RM2,299. Pre-orders are already live at Realme Brand Stores, their authorised dealers and official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok till 10 April, with their first sales campaign happening from 11 April onwards till 10 May.
Pre-orders will come with a Realme Smart Band, a 1-year extended warranty, a 1-year screen crack warranty and a RM100 rebate, while if you get it during the first sales period the latter gets replaced with a purchase-with-purchase option for the Realme Buds Air 8 for RM249 instead of the earbuds’ retail price of RM299.
Realme 16 Pro+ specs
The Realme 16 Pro+ is a surprisingly premium feeling device, with a metallic mid-frame, an organic silicone leather-like back panel and a metal camera bump replete with a mirror finish. Available in Master Gold and Master Grey colourways, the 16 Pro+ measures 8.49mm thin and weighs 198g, with an IP68/IP69K dust and water resistance rating too.
As for the display, the Realme 16 Pro+ brings back the curved screen edges from yesteryear, with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display pushing a 2800 by 1280p resolution with an up to 144Hz refresh rate, up to 6500nits of peak brightness, a 2500Hz touch response and has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i over it for scratch resistance.
Under the hood, the Realme 16 Pro+ comes with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 system-on-chip, with 12GB of LPDDR5X memory and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. You get Android 16 out of the box, skinned with Realme UI 7.0 over it; you will also get a minimum of three major Android upgrades and four years of security patches for the 16 Pro+.
It’s the cameras though where the Realme 16 Pro+ shines. You’ll find a main 200MP, f/1.8 LumaColor Camera using the Samsung HP5 1/1.56″ sensor with ‘Super OIS’ and 2x ‘lossless zoom’. The LumaColor branding meanwhile is because it features the industry’s first TUV-certified LumaColor algorithm for more natural skin tones and better bokeh in shots. That main camera is flanked by a 50MP, f/2.8 telephoto shooter offering 3.5x optical zoom and an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide, while up front is a 50MP, f/2.4 selfie shooter.
Other features of note include a 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging and reverse charging, stereo speakers with a 300% ‘ultra volume’ mode along with support for WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC wireless connectivity.
