Realme 16 Pro series now open for pre-order, will be priced under RM2,500

Realme have opened up pre-orders for their upcoming Realme 16 Pro series line of smartphones. Consisting of the Realme 16 Pro+ and the Realme 16 Pro, you can place a RM20 deposit to secure your device from now till 10 April 2026.

This will also entitle you to free gifts worth up to RM897, which includes a smart band, a RM100 rebate, a 1-year extended warranty and a 1-year screen crack warranty. As for the actual pricing, Realme says it’ll be under RM2,500 so stay tuned for that.

The Chinese manufacturer claims that this would be the only 200MP smartphone camera in Malaysia with a price below RM2,500. Considering that the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G has a 200MP shooter and starts at RM1,699, we’re not too sure about that claim. Nevertheless, Realme says that the 200MP shooter on the 16 Pro and 16 Pro+ will use an exclusive LumaColor camera with TUV Rheinland-certified LumaColor technology, and will have a 3.5x telephoto too.

Realme adds that the cameras on the Realme 16 Pro series will offer better natural skin tone capture which ought to celebrate Malaysia’s multi-ethnic population well. That’s on top of intlligent light-and-color fusion, cinematic bokeh, professional grade portraits and more.

As for the rest of the hardware, Realme hasn’t shared much else but we were to glean off the Indian variants of the Realme 16 Pro+, it should come with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 system-on-chip under the hood with a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel, while the Realme 16 Pro gets a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max chipset with a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen instead. There’s also a 7,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, and they come with Android 16 out of the box.
