Realme 16 Pro: Dimensity 7300-Max, 200MP camera and 7000mAh battery, starting at RM1,599

Alongside the Realme 16 Pro+, the Chinese manufacturer also showcased the regular Realme 16 Pro in Malaysia. It’s a little bit smaller and comes with a MediaTek processor rather than the 16 Pro+’s Snapdragon chip, but still gets the same 200MP camera that its more premium stablemate has.

Realme 16 Pro specs

While it loses out on the metallic frame that its higher end sibling has, the Realme 16 Pro still feels nice in hand thanks to a special polymer back panel that gives it a soft, matte finish. The chassis itself is 7.75mm thin and weighs 192g light, and houses a 6.78-inch, 2772 by 1272 AMOLED display with an up to 144Hz refresh rate, 6500nits of peak brightness and comes with a layer of AGC DT Star D+ glass for scratch resistance.

Under the hood, the Realme 16 Pro gets a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max system-on-chip, mated to 12GB of LPDDR4X memory and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. You’ll also find Android 16 out of the box, skinned with Realme UI 7.0 over it; they guarantee a minimum of three major Android OS upgrades and four years of security patches.

As for the cameras, despite looking like its a triple camera setup the Realme 16 Pro only has two effective shooters. The main 200MP, f/1.8 LumaColor Camera is the same as the one on the Realme 16 Pro+, with a Samsung HP5 1/1.56″ sensor, ‘Super OIS’ and 2x ‘lossless zoom’. It gets the industry’s first TUV-certified LumaColor algorithm for more natural skin tones, while alongside it is an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide; a 50MP, f/2.4 selfie shooter rounds things off.
Other features of note include a 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging, 300% ‘ultra volume’ stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor as well as IP66/68/69/69K dust and water resistance ratings.
