realme 13 Series 5G now available in Malaysia with RM1,199 starting price
realme Malaysia has rolled back the curtains on the 13 Series, consisting of the realme 13 5G and realme 13+ 5G. These are not to be mistaken for the Pro variants, which launched just last month under the 13 Pro Series umbrella.
Self-christened as the ‘Gaming Dominator’, the realme 13 and 13+ utilize the Dimensity 6300 5G and Dimensity 7300 Energy 5G chipsets respectively. They both come with 12GB+256GB variants, but only the plus model will have the additional 12GB+512GB variant.
The realme 13 5G is slightly larger with a 6.72″ LCD display, coupled with FHD+ (2400×1080) resolution and 120Hz refresh rates. The 13+ 5G, on the other hand, has the advantage of a 6.67″ AMOLED display, but offers the same resolution and refresh rates.
Batteries too, are similar with both devices packing 5,000mAh capacity. The difference is noticed in charging speeds, with the base 13 5G supporting 45W and the 13+ 5G supporting 80W.
Keeping things cool on the realme 13+ 5G is a stainless steel vapor cooling system with a 6050mm2 cooling area, while the realme 13 has a more modest 2249mm2 cooling area.
Though they both sport 50MP OIS main cameras, only the plus model is fitted with the Sony LYT-600 sensor believed to beef up photo quality. Nevertheless, front cameras on both phones are maintained at 16MP.
There’s also a slight difference in ingress protection, with the realme 13+ unsurprisingly having better water resistance with an IP65 rating, while the realme 13 is downgraded slightly to IP64.
realme 13 Series 5G price in Malaysia
The realme 13+ 5G is already available for purchase at a retail price of RM1,399 for the 12GB+256GB variant, and RM1,799 for the 12GB+512GB variant. However, an ongoing promo running from 19th October until 18th November 2024 will see the price of the 12GB+512GB variant drop to RM1,699.
Additionally, any purchase of the realme 13+ 5G will come with a complimentary pair of TechLife Wireless Earbuds, alongside 730 days warranty and 365 days screen damage warranty.
As for the realme 13, this model comes in a single 12GB+256GB configuration priced at RM1,199. It will only be available from 1st November onwards, following which is a first sale promo running until 30th November 2024. During this period, purchases for the realme 13 will come with complimentary 730 days warranty and 365 days screen damage warranty.
