Razer Unveils Thunderbolt 5 Dock and Core X V2 for Power Users and Gamers

Razer has announced the release of two new PC accessories—the Razer Thunderbolt 5 Dock and the Razer Core X V2—designed to offer high-performance connectivity and desktop-class graphics capabilities. These devices are powered by Thunderbolt 5 and are intended for users who need speed, flexibility, and expandability in their setups.
Razer Thunderbolt 5 Dock

The Razer Thunderbolt 5 Dock is built to handle multi-display and multi-device setups. It supports up to three 4K displays running at 120Hz, offering smooth and vibrant visuals whether for gaming or for work.
Using Thunderbolt 5, the dock delivers data transfer speeds of up to 120Gbps, ensuring low-latency performance when connecting high-speed external devices. A key feature is its support for up to 8TB of integrated SSD storage, enabling fast access to large files. It also includes Thunderbolt Share, a feature that allows users to transfer files and control multiple PCs seamlessly.

Connectivity is delivered via a single Thunderbolt 5 cable, which enables 11-in-1 expansion including ports for monitors, external drives, peripherals, and other devices. It is compatible with both newer and older hardware, making it a flexible solution for many types of users. Power delivery is handled by a 250W adapter, with up to 140W provided to a connected laptop.
Razer Core X V2

The Razer Core X V2 is an external graphics processing unit (eGPU) enclosure designed for those looking to upgrade their laptop’s GPU performance. Compatible with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 5, and select USB4-enabled devices, it offers plug-and-play support for full-sized PCIe graphics cards from NVIDIA and AMD.

Housed in a ventilated steel chassis, the Core X V2 includes a built-in 120mm fan that adjusts its speed automatically based on system load. Users can further customize cooling through Razer Synapse software. It also supports standard ATX power supplies, giving users flexibility when installing high-end GPUs.
A single Thunderbolt 5 cable connects the Core X V2 to a host laptop or device, while simultaneously delivering 140W of charging power.
