Rakuten Kobo Unveils Kobo Clara Colour in New White Finish

Rakuten Kobo has introduced a new white colour option for its Kobo Clara Colour eReader, expanding the device’s aesthetic choices beyond the previously available black model. This marks a visual refresh for one of Kobo’s more popular digital reading devices.

The Kobo Clara Colour features a 6-inch E Ink Kaleido 3 display, designed to support full-colour content. This allows for improved experiences when reading graphic novels or using colour-coded highlights to annotate text. The display maintains the compact size Kobo is known for while bringing in the ability to view content with greater detail and distinction.

ComfortLight PRO is built into the device, providing users with adjustable brightness and colour temperature. This aims to support more comfortable reading in both daytime and night-time settings. The device is also IPX8 rated for waterproofing for protection.

From a sustainability perspective, the Kobo Clara Colour is constructed using recycled and ocean-bound plastics.

The Kobo Clara Colour in white will be available in Malaysia starting 23 September 2025. It is priced at RM799 and will be sold at selected retailers, including All IT Hypermarket, Mono Digital, SNS Network, and others.
