ProArt PX13 GoPro Edition: This MacBook Pro killer comes with a free GoPro HERO
ASUS’ ProArt lineup has always been one of the best MacBook alternatives for creatives out there, but their latest ProArt laptop may be their best one yet. On top of that, if you’re early you can even get a free GoPro HERO action camera with your new laptop too.
ProArt PX13 and ProArt GoPro Edition Malaysia pricing and availability
The regular ProArt PX13 itself will be available in a single configuration with 64GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, priced at RM11,999. As for the ProArt GoPro Edition, it’ll come with double the memory, a whopping 128GB of RAM, and is priced at RM14,999.
The ProArt PX13 and ProArt GoPro Edition are already available for purchase, with the latter exclusively available from the ASUS Malaysia eStore. On top of that, the first ten buyers of the ProArt GoPro Edition will come with a free GoPro HERO action camera worth RM999 too.
For those seriously considering the ProArt GoPro Edition, we do want to highlight that stock is pretty limited, with an ASUS rep mentioning that they’ll only have up to 20 or so units for the local market.
ProArt PX13 and ProArt GoPro Edition specs and features
The ProArt PX13, and the ProArt GoPro Edition based on it, are designed for professional creatives looking for portable and sleek yet powerful and capable hardware. As such, it’s no surprise to see that they come with the AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 processor, with its integrated AMD Radeon 8060S graphics. The ProArt PX13 also comes with 64GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
If you get the ProArt GoPro Edition however, you’ll find a bunch of extra features compared to the regular ProArt PX13. For starters, you’ll now get up to 128GB of memory rather than 64GB, meaning you can even run large AI models on-device, or just have more hardware on hand for smoother hi-res video editing.
As for the display, both the ProArt PX13 and the ProArt GoPro Edition pack a 13.3-inch ASUS Lumina OLED touchscreen display, pushing a 2800 x 1800p resolution, 500nits peak brightness and full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. It’s also worth pointing out that you can fold the keyboard behind the display if you want to use it in tablet mode.
On top of that, the ProArt GoPro Edition gets a more rugged, GoPro-inspired pattern on the lid. There’s also a custom blue-accented keyboard backlight, matching GoPro’s black and blue aesthetic, as well as special GoPro-inspired laptop sleeve and packaging.
The ProArt GoPro Edition comes with the GoPro Hotkey too, which can instantly launch the GoPro Player along with the ASUS AI app StoryCube. StoryCube by the way is now the first Windows app to integrate both GoPro Cloud media and 360° video, along with AI scene recognition and categorisation in 360° video, making it easy for creatives to edit and organise their GoPro footage.
Other features of note include a 73Wh battery, Dolby Atmos speakers, and of course the DialPad for fine control during editing. As for I/O, you’ll get two USB-C 4.0 Gen 3 ports, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, a HDMI 2.1 port, a combo audio jack and a microSD 4.0 card slot. Being a 13″ laptop also means that despite its performance, the ProArt PX13 remains light at just 1.39kg.
