In celebration of Pokémon’s 25th anniversary, popular rapper Post Malone will be performing in a virtual concert on 28th February, at 8 am local time. The concert will be aired on Pokemon’s official websiteYouTube, and Twitch.

“I’ve been a Pokémon fan for a long time, so the opportunity to headline the Pokémon Day concert celebrating 25 years is awesome.”

Post Malone said in a news release

Fans can expect a Post Malone rendition of the Pokémon theme song during the virtual concert. This concert will also kick off the Pokémon Company’s P25 Music program, where it plans to pair with artists like Katy Perry to create new music “through the lens of Pokémon,” the company said.

The Pokémon Company said that fans can also expect additional announcements prior to and after the Post Malone concert.

Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto

In addition to the virtual concert, Pokemon GO players will also enjoy a ticketed Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto event on February 20th, from 9 am – 9 pm local time. At this event, Pokemon trainers will be able to collect the original 150 pokemon found in the Kanto region.

Event passes are currently for sale in the in-game shop for US$ 11.99. For those without the pass, don’t worry! There will still be Kanto region Pokemon spawns on this day. [Learn More]
