POCO F5 Pro Spec Sheet

The POCO F5 will be the first to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 on the global stage. Off the global limelight, the processor does feature on the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, but that’s available only to the Chinese market.

For reference, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 was released early this year (2023) and has already shown signs of promise based on early benchmark scores.

Now the verdict will fall on consumers when it debuts globally on the POCO F5.

The POCO F5 Pro on the other hand will run on the already proven Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

The POCO F5 Pro in Black, and White

In terms of memory, the POCO F5 and the POCO F5 Pro will carry up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. For storage, you’ll have the option to go up to 512GB on the F5 Pro, but the F5 will only carry up to 256GB.

Displays on both devices are the same at 6.67-inch, and both will also carry 120Hz refresh rates. However, the F5 Pro will have the superior WQHD+ AMOLED with 1400nits peak brightness, while the base F5 will have to make do with an FHD+ display with 1000nits peak brightness.

There is also a slight difference in battery capacity, with the F5 Pro containing the larger 5,160mAh battery as compared to the 5,000mAh on the F5. Nevertheless, you will have 67W fast charging on either devices; but only the F5 Pro supports 30W wireless charging.

Cameras are consistent throughout, with each sporting a triple rear camera system consisting of a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro camera. Of the three, only the main camera has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

For selfies, you’ll have a 16MP front camera.

POCO has also upgraded video recording, with the POCO F5 Pro now being able to record at 8K/24FPS. The POCO F5 misses out on this, but will still have decent 4K/60FPS recording capability.

Another difference you’ll find is the position of the fingerprint sensor, with the POCO F5 using a side-mounted sensor and the F5 Pro using an in-display sensor.

Other than that, both devices will have WiFi 6 support, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and stereo speakers. POCO has also decided to bring back the 3.5mm jack, but only for POCO F5.
