PM Anwar: One-off RM100 SARA Aid to be credited to MyKad from 9 February 2026
All Malaysians aged 18 and above will receive a one-off RM100 Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) assistance, which will be credited directly to their MyKad starting 9 February 2026, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced.
Speaking at the Prime Minister’s Department Monthly Assembly and 2026 New Year Address, Anwar said the assistance will benefit 22 million Malaysians nationwide.
“SARA this year is for all Malaysians aged 18 and above. We will credit it on 9 February,” he said.
The RM100 SARA assistance will be provided as cashless credit and credited directly into recipients’ MyKad. The credit can be used to purchase basic necessities at more than 7,300 registered retail outlets nationwide, including selected supermarkets and grocery stores.
The one-off RM100 SARA assistance is separate from the monthly SARA assistance and the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR). It aims to help ease Malaysians’ daily living costs, especially ahead of the festive season.
For reference, monthly SARA assistance will be credited starting 9 January 2026, while STR 2026 Phase 1 payments will begin on 20 January 2026, with eligible recipients receiving up to RM500.
