By Timothy Teoh April 11, 2025

Active PlayStation Plus subscribers will have to brace themselves for a hefty price bump following the announcement of price readjustments from PlayStation.

In a post published on PlayStation’s official blogsite, PlayStation cites challenging global market conditions as a factor, assuring users that the increase in price will enable them to deliver high-quality games and value-added benefits to the service.

The new price starts on 16 April 2025, and will affect Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia. Here are the new prices for each tier of PlayStation Plus subscription:

  • PlayStation Plus Essential
  • 1-month subscription – RM35 (up from RM32)
  • 3-month subscription – RM95 (up from RM75)
  • 12-month subscription – RM285 (up from RM235)
  • PlayStation Plus Extra
  • 1-month subscription – RM55 (up from RM49)
  • 3-month subscription – RM155 (up from RM125)
  • 12-month subscription – RM490 (up from RM400)
  • PlayStation Plus Deluxe
  • 1-month subscription – RM65 (up from RM55)
  • 3-month subscription – RM185 (up from RM145)
  • 12-month subscription – RM575 (up from RM460)

For current subscribers, the price change will not take effect until the next billing date that occurs on or after 24 June 2025. However, any membership changes you make on or after April 16, such as upgrades, downgrades, or adding additional time, will incur the new prices.
