The Pahang Palace has issued a public warning about fake social media accounts impersonating the Sultan of Pahang and members of the royal family.

In an official statement, the palace clarified that His Royal Highness the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, does not own any personal social media accounts. The palace said that multiple accounts have been created by irresponsible parties using the Sultan’s name and images to mislead the public.

The same issue also affects Her Royal Highness the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Binti Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj, with fake accounts appearing on platforms such as Facebook and TikTok.

The palace stressed that all such accounts are fraudulent and urged the public not to trust any information, links, or invitations shared through these platforms. Users are also advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities, especially if they receive messages or requests from these impersonator accounts.

According to the palace, all official announcements, royal activities, and decrees are only shared through verified and official channels under the name “Kesultanan Pahang”.

On Facebook, there is only one verified account representing the Pahang Sultanate, which has over 770,000 followers. Meanwhile, on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, the same “Kesultanan Pahang” name is used for official communication.
