Owning a share in the future of custom PCs: Emarque’s funding campaign

April 11, 2024

Emarque – a leading custom PC builder in Malaysia

If you have seen some of the cool custom PCs that pop up in your social media feed, it is likely that you have heard of Emarque. They are a custom PC building company based in Petaling Jaya that pride themselves on quality PC components, professional build with a 57-point QA/QC process and great after-sales service. Don’t just take our word for it, they have a (rare) 5-star Google reviews rating from over 120 happy customers who left a review!

Check out some of their interesting PC builds for corporations and individuals, ranging from racing & flight simulators, to a sneaker PC, and even themed PCs like a Gudetama PC for the Gudetama fan!

Newbies to custom PCs are often bogged down by the variety of parts and compatibility issues between components. Emarque reduces that worry to zero with their pre-built PCs such as the INFINITY and the SPECTER that have been optimised to ensure customers get the best value for their money.

The founders just launched a funding campaign on Alta exchange targeting fresh funds of up to RM2.5 million to fuel their next stage of growth – which means PC building enthusiasts can become from mere customers & supporters to actual stakeholders in Emarque’s future.

The people behind Emarque

Emarque was founded by Kiri Kaniathran at the age of 18 and he has over 10 years of experience in the tech industry. The company was born from his passion for computers and gaming during his school days.

Kiri was joined by Joey to help spearhead growth in the B2B sector with his expertise in business development and operations, unlocking another pool of customers for Emarque.

The team is dedicated to ensuring customers get the right PC – for gamers, to home office users, to creators and even businesses with specific requirements.

Imagining the future of the PC in South-East Asia

One of Emarque’s goals for this crowdfunding campaign is to expand beyond Malaysia.

They plan to do this in 2 ways – via physical stores (targeting Singapore, then Indonesia) and also via value-for-money quality PC parts that can be distributed around the globe. In the crowdfunding pitch, they dropped hints alluding to the arrival of Emarque laptops, PC cases, liquid coolers, and ergonomic chairs.

Beyond PC hardware and parts, they are also looking to create software to further value-add to corporate clients and aim to lead the PC building movement in South-East Asia.

How to invest in Emarque?

In return for the funding support, Emarque laid out plans for a 7% annual dividend for up to 5 years and an option for investors sell the shares to the founders at the end of the 5th year at a 4% premium.

One of the perks of crowdfunding is the lower barrier of entry to be part of privately held companies that you like and want to support with a structure that does not bog the investor with too much administrative hassle.

Investment tiers starts from RM10,000 – beyond this amount, investors get perks such as preferred discounts, branded products, invites to international tech shows and even an Emarque PC if they invest RM300,000 or more.

To be an investor in Emarque, one simply can sign up as a member on Alta Exchange (regulated by Securities Commission Malaysia) to view more information regarding the company, the industry and details on the various investment tiers.
