OPPO launches flagship Find X8 Series with Alert Slider; Now up for pre-orders at RM3,699
OPPO Malaysia has just announced the arrival of its latest flagship: the Find X8 Series. The series consists of the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, both of which feature an Alert Slider for quick switching between silent, vibration, and ringing modes.
These are also one of the earliest phones in Malaysia to run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chipset.
The OPPO Find X8 Pro unsurprisingly has better features. For starters, it comes with a quadruple camera setup comprising of a 50MP 1/1.4″ main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 73mm focal length equivalent, yet another 50MP periscope telephoto lens but with 135mm focal length equivalent, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens.
In contrast, the Find X8 keeps to a modest triple lens setup with a 50MP 1/1.56″ main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide.
Regardless, you’ll have a whole suit of AI features for editing, including AI Erase, AI Reflection Remover, and AI Unblur.
In terms of displays, they are pretty similar. You’ll find an AMOLED panel offering FHD+ resolution on both, together with 120Hz refresh rates, 4,500nits peak brightness, and a layer of Gorilla Glass 7i. However, the Find X8 Pro is slightly larger at 6.78″ versus the 6.59″ on the Find X8.
Batteries, we must say, are impressively large. The Find X8 Pro packs a 5,910mAh battery, while the Find X8 keeps to a 5,630mAh battery. Either way, you’ll get support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
One thing that stands out on the Find X8 Pro is the inclusion of a Quick Button to access the cameras easily. It is also used as a shutter button, and a zoom toggle when the phone is in landscape mode. If this sounds familiar it’s because it shares its likeness to the iPhone 16’s Camera Control.
OPPO Find X8 Series price and availability in Malaysia
Pre-orders for the OPPO Find X8 Series will run from 21 to 29 November 2024.
As for pricing, the OPPO Find X8 Pro will retail at RM4,999 in Malaysia, while the Find X8 will retail at RM3,699.
However, as part of its pre-order promo, customers can get a rebate of RM300 and RM100 respectively. Additionally, pre-orders will come with a Lefant Robot Vacuum, a Magnetic powerbank gift box, and a 1-year screen protection warranty.
