OnePlus 15 Officially Launches in China, Global Debut Expected Soon

By Timothy Teoh October 28, 2025

After weeks of teasers via its official Weibo account, the highly anticipated OnePlus 15 has now officially launched in its home country of China. OnePlus is expected to announce a global unveiling soon, though the slated date hasn’t yet been confirmed.

Peeking at the launch in China, the OnePlus 15 receives a major design overhaul. The most notable change is its camera bump, which now sports a more squarish look, ditching the rounded central bumps that have been a staple since the OnePlus 11. Another notable difference is that the flagship now features flat panels rather than curved ones.

Inside, powering the OnePlus 15 is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 — Qualcomm’s next-gen processor line that most Android flagships are expected to adopt. The phone is slightly smaller this year, with a 6.87″ display (vs. 6.82″ on the OnePlus 13), sporting a BOE X3 panel offering 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate.

Imaging-wise, OnePlus has officially ended its five-year partnership with Hasselblad for camera technology. While there’s no longer any Hasselblad branding, the camera array — on paper, at least — still holds its own, featuring a 50MP 1/1.56″ main camera, a 50MP periscope lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens.

One of the bigger highlights of the phone is its massive 7,300mAh battery, which supports 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

In China, the OnePlus 15 launched in five configurations with the following prices:

  • 12GB/256GB – CNY3999 (~MYR 2364.38)
  • 16GB/256GB – CNY 4299 (~MYR 2541.75)
  • 12GB/512GB – CNY4599 (~MYR 2719.12)
  • 16GB/512GB – CNY4899 (~MYR 2896.50)
  • 16GB/1TB – CNY 5399 (~MYR 3192.12)

However, it’s worth noting that its predecessor, the OnePlus 13, launched with a single 16GB/512GB configuration in Malaysia.
