Official Posters Confirm OnePlus 15 Ditches Circular Camera Bump for Sleeker Look

After months of keeping it under wraps, OnePlus has finally begun teasing its flagship OnePlus 15 smartphone via its official Weibo account. The brand hasn’t confirmed the exact debut date, but we do get a good look at the phone’s design.

Notably, the OnePlus 15 will arrive with a long-overdue design overhaul. The latest flagship breaks away from the gargantuan, off-center circular camera bump that’s been reused since the OnePlus 11. Now, the OnePlus 15 will sport a rounded square camera module that, from its official posters, blends quite well with the phone’s curved edges.

The module itself features a vertical oblong housing, which presumably holds two cameras, while the third camera sits above the flash.

The hero color this time is ‘Sand Storm,’ which is essentially beige. Reports suggest that black and white variants will also be offered upon launch. What’s unique about the ‘Sand Storm’ model is that it uses a Micro-Arc Oxidation frame, which OnePlus claims is three times harder than aluminum and should provide a sturdier build.

Moreover, OnePlus has confirmed that the phone will launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, making it one of the first phones to do so. Other phones expected to launch with the Snapdragon include the Realme GT 8 Pro and the iQOO 15.

Once again, we don’t have an official date for the OnePlus 15 yet, but we can expect it to launch sometime in Q4 this year, with reports suggesting it could be as early as October.
